Claude Young Jr needs little introduction — a true Detroit original and one of the most respected artists to ever emerge from the city’s electronic music lineage. For RESET FEST 2026, we’re honored to welcome him for a rare Sunday night closing set: a one-off live ambient performance we reached out and asked him to play for us out of deep love and respect for his work. This is not a return to regular appearances, but a singular moment, and we couldn’t be more grateful to share it.
While many know Claude Young Jr as a foundational figure in Detroit techno, his body of work has always reached far beyond any one lane. A true polymath, his creative practice reflects a deep and enduring relationship to sound in all its forms — atmospheric, exploratory, rhythmic, and cinematic. His ambient work is not an aside or an add-on, but a genuine and deeply rooted part of his artistic language.

Join us under the Batch Brewing outdoor pavilion and spend time with a remarkable group of multidisciplinary artists from around the world, each bringing a singular vision, distinct perspective, and deeply personal creative language to Reset Fest. We’re genuinely inspired by these artists and honored to host their work as part of this year’s festival. Each pavilion art station is dedicated to a different featured artist, offering a curated selection from their body of work to experience up close with the sounds of the main stage just meters away.
